IssuesPA TV 2008: Education in Pennsylvania

This month, IssuesPA TV will air on public television stations throughout Pennsylvania. The first episode will look at education.

The Pennsylvania Economy League, in conjunction with WITF-TV, WHYY-TV, WLVT-TV, WPSU-TV, WQED-TV and with funding support from the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, The Pennsylvania League of Cities and Municipalities (PLCM) and Pennsylvania Public Television Network (PPTN) stations, will premiere the first episode of IssuesPA TV 2008, Education: Success in Stages this month.

The programs in the IssuesPA TV 2008 series focus on issues affecting Pennsylvania voters, their families and communities, providing an in-depth examination of several multi-faceted issues that influence Pennsylvanians’ lives -- today and in the future. Each episode will be 60 minutes in length and feature diverse viewpoints and examples of how different areas of Pennsylvania have adapted to the changing landscape. In 2006, the series was acclaimed by the Governmental Research Association (GRA) as the “most effective” among state-level educational efforts across the nation (read more).
