(
Princeton Survey Research Associates International, Inc,
, December 2005).
The 2005 IssuesPA/Pew benchmark poll shows a continuing downward trend in Pennsylvanians' satisfaction with the direction of their state over the past year. Only 44% of those surveyed described themselves as satisfied, compared to 50% a year ago. Citizens' declining faith in the state's leadership and uneasiness with taxes highlighted concerns, although respondents also cited other economic insecurity issues such as their ability to afford health care, finance retirement and pay energy costs. Princeton Survey Research Associates International directed a telephone survey with more than 1,500 Pennsylvania adults statewide between November 10th and November 21st. The Pew Charitable Trusts funded the poll.
