Per Capita State and Local Taxes - 2004

Taxes are often cited as a factor in company and personal decisions about where to live and do business.  State and local taxes per capita measure the amount of taxes paid per person and makes a fair comparison between states with differing populations.  Pennsylvania ranks 20th overall and is right at the U.S. average, making it competative with most other states.
