State Individual Income Taxes per Capita, 2004

Income taxes per capita is a comparative measure of state and local income taxes paid by individuals in a state.

Pennsylvania’s mid-range income tax burden is a combination of a low rate offset by a larger tax base at the state level. At the local level Pennsylvania is one of only a few states that levy a local income tax in addition to a state levy.
